Greater Hartford Academy of Mathematics and Science (9-12) HALF DAY ONLY

Program Overview:

The Academy of Mathematics and Science features a highly competitive science and mathematics curriculum, taught through unique methods and the integration of state-of-the-art technology. Real-world applications of science and math empower students with knowledge, confidence and motivation that extend beyond the classroom. Students have the opportunity to take unparalleled courses in science and mathematics from a faculty of highly skilled scientists and mathematicians. Through the program, students are exposed to career shadowing and coaching from some of the nation’s leading science and math professionals.

As a part of the NASA Explorer School network, students participate in a variety of video conferences and learning sessions with astronauts, rocket scientists, and engineers from NASA and industry partners. Based on the 2010-11 enrollment data, the school meets the state integration standard.

Grade 9 – 10: 7:30 am – 10:30 am (attend home district in afternoon)
Grade 11 – 12: 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm (attend home district in morning)
